Originally specializing in motor oil and paint, Hadlock’s became a fixture in the Rochester NY hardware community. In 1973, Walter Hadlock’s son-in-law, Donald Dacey bought the business and moved the operation to Lyell Ave in Gates.
Today, Hadlock’s is owned by Donald’s son Terry Dacey. With four stores in the Rochester area, including a 28,000 square foot warehouse in Victor NY that services a distribution network across New York State and Northern Pennsylvania, Hadlock’s is the largest Benjamin Moore dealer in western New York. Hadlock’s also sells PPG products, a full line of paint sundries including the full line of Wooster Brushes.
In March of 2020 Hadlock’s gained national attention as they donated more than 6000 3M N95 masks to local hospitals during the Covid-19 pandemic.
